Dunigan's Second-Place Finish Highlights Day Two At PAC Championships

GROVE CITY, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College men are in third place, while the women's squad remained fourth following the second day of competition on Friday at the 2013 Presidents' Athletic Conference Swimming & Diving Championships at Grove City College. 

Westminster (481) takes a 10-point lead over Grove City (471) heading into the final day, while W&J (294), Saint Vincent (253) and Bethany (14) round out the standings.  Grove City (588) leads Westminster (501) in the women's standings.  Saint Vincent is third with 397 points followed by W&J (258) and Bethany (125). 

Freshman Kevin Dunigan (Lansdale, Pa./North Penn) posted the Presidents' best finish of the evening when taking second place in the 400 IM in a time of 4:12.70. 

The women's squad's top individual finish was recorded by sophomore Jessica Sweitzer (Laurel, Md./Seton Keough) in the 200 freestyle.  She earned fourth place with a time of 1:58.41.  Sweitzer also helped the 200 medley relay (1:53.07) and 800 freestyle relay (8:12.05) teams to fourth-place finishes. 

Senior Joey Weiland (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) placed sixth in the 100 backstroke (53.88) after teaming with Dunigan on the fourth-place 200 medley relay (1:37.67).  Freshman Anthony Squeglia (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) was the seventh-place finisher in the 200 freestyle (1:47.86).   

On the women's side, sophomore Charlotte Lima (Brooklyn, N.Y./Choate Rosemary Hall) claimed sixth place in the 100 backstroke (1:01.21).
