The First Tee of Pittsburgh Partners With Washington & Jefferson College For Special Event

(Pittsburgh, PA) November 2, 2011 – Participants of The First Tee of Pittsburgh will have the opportunity to meet and learn from Washington & Jefferson College men's and women's golf student-athletes Sunday, November 6 (1:00 – 5:00 pm) during a special event at The Bob O’Connor Golf Course at Schenley Park, home of The First Tee of Pittsburgh.

W&J is led by Head Coach Sean Dove, who has guided the Presidents to four Presidents' Athletic Conference championships (two men, two women) as he is in the middle of his fourth season on campus. 

The First Tee of Pittsburgh and Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) have teamed up to organize the event, which will benefit more than 75 young people from the greater Pittsburgh area who are planning to attend. Student-athletes and coaches scheduled to participate in the event are from Washington and Jefferson College, Carnegie Mellon University, Robert Morris University, and California University of Pennsylvania.

The event will give The First Tee of Pittsburgh participants the opportunity to learn from collegiate players and coaches in the areas of golf instruction and wellness, as well as the importance of high school graduation, preparation for college and college golf opportunities.
