Galligan Earns PAC Runner of the Week
WASHINGTON, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson freshman cross country runner Kristen Galligan (Frederick, Md./Governor Thomas Johnson) earned the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Runner of the Week award following her first-place finish at the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcat Invitational on Saturday.
Galligan topped the 112-runner 6K field in a time of 23:30. Her next closest competitor finished 57 seconds later. Galligan helped the Presidents finished fifth among the 12 team field.
Galligan has gotten her freshman season off to a strong start, finishing second at the Waynesburg University Invitational and 16th at the Dickinson Long-Short Invitational.
W&J will take part in the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday beginning at 10:30 am.
