Galligan Wins Fourth PAC Runner Of The Week Award
WASHINGTON, Pa. – After claiming her third individual title of the fall, sophomore Kristen Galligan (Frederick, Md./Governor Thomas Johnson) was selected as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Cross Country Runner of the Week on Monday. She was also selected as the ECAC Division III Runner of the Week for the second time this fall.
Galligan set a new W&J 6K record with a time of 21:09.30 to pace the 270-runner field at the Oberlin Inter-Regional Rumble on Saturday.
Galligan has won races in consecutive weeks after taking first at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on October 6. She also raced to first place at the Waynesburg Invitational earlier this fall.
During her career, Galligan owns four individual titles and six PAC weekly awards, including four this year.
The W&J cross country teams compete at the PAC Championship on October 27 beginning at 10:30 am in Bethany, W. Va.
