Hanna Claims Weekly PAC Award
WASHINGTON, Pa. – Following a perfect 2-0 week, Washington & Jefferson College junior forward Brian Hanna (Allison Park, Pa./Shaler Area) earned Presidents’ Athletic Conference Men's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week honors.
Hanna's three-point week helped W&J remain unbeaten in conference play (3-0-0) and move to 8-4 overall. In the Presidents' 2-0 win against Saint Vincent on Oct. 8, Hanna assisted on Cody Peddicord's (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) game-winning goal in the 51st minute.
After battling Geneva to a 0-0 draw at the end of regulation on Saturday, Hanna came through for the Presidents six minutes into the first overtime with his third goal of the season, and third career game-winner, allowing W&J to pick up three important PAC points. His goal at Geneva was the 17th of his career, moving him into a tie for eighth all-time at Washington & Jefferson.
Washington & Jefferson will play its final non-conference game of the season this Wednesday (Oct. 16) as it hosts Point Park at 7:00 pm at Alexandre Stadium.
