Jon Best Claims PAC Goalkeeper Of The Week Honor

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Washington & Jefferson College sophomore Jon Best (North Huntingdon, Pa./Norwin) earned the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Goalkeeper of the Week Award on Monday.

Best did not allow a goal in 182:47 of action while making six saves to help W&J (2-4-2, 0-0-1) post a 1-0-1 mark during the week. He earned his second career shutout during the Presidents’ 0-0 draw against Geneva on Saturday.

Overall, Best has not allowed a goal during his last 282:33 in net. He ranks second among PAC goalkeepers with a .800 save percentage and fifth in saves (40).

Best has a 1.65 goals against average and has stopped 53 shots during 17 career appearances in goal.

The Presidents travel to Westminster on Wednesday for a 4:00 pm match.
