Kelsey Cunningham Named to All-PAC Softball Squad
WASHINGTON, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson College freshman shortstop/catcher Kelsey Cunningham (McMurray, Pa./Peters Twp.) was selected to the All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference softball team on Tuesday. She was a second-team choice as a utility player.
Cunningham, who served as W&J’s leadoff hitter, led the Presidents in batting average (.380, 38-of-100), doubles (10), total bases (48) and on-base percentage (.411) during her first collegiate season. Her batting average ranked seventh in the PAC and her 10 doubles tied for fourth among league hitters.
Cunningham was also second on the team in runs scored (16) and slugging percentage (.480) and third in runs batted in (10).
PAC Champion Bethany College swept the postseason awards as senior third baseman Andrea Thomas was named Player of the Year and Jan Forsty was honored as Coach of the Year.
