Lima Honored With PAC Swimmer Of The Week Award
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- After winning all seven races that she competed in last week, Washington & Jefferson College sophomore Charlotte Lima (Brooklyn, N.Y./Choate Rosemary Hall) was named Presidents’ Athletic Conference Swimmer of the Week.
Lima has helped W&J open its season with three consecutive victories, as she has touched first in eight of the 10 races that she has entered.
Against Chatham on Wednesday, Lima swam the first leg of the 200 medley (1:59.14) and 200 freestyle (1:50.76) relay squads that turned in top times, while also claiming the 100 backstroke (1:03.34).
During the Presidents’ victory against NCAA Division II West Virginia Wesleyan three days later, Lima again helped W&J take first in the 200 medley (1:56.22) and 400 freestyle (3:51.85) relays. She also turned in the top performance in both backstroke events with times of 1:03.33 (100) and 2:19.14 (200).
W&J hosts conference rival Westminster on Wednesday at the Henry Memorial Natatorium (6:00 pm).
