O’Toole Earns PAC Swimmer Of The Week Honor
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Washington & Jefferson College senior Patrick O’Toole (Butler, Pa./Fox Chapel) was selected as the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week on Monday after leading the Presidents’ to a season-opening 110-82 victory over Frostburg State.
O’Toole claimed victories in all three races he competed in on Saturday at the Henry Memorial Natatorium. He swam to victory in the 100 butterfly (55.60), edging freshman teammate Armando Paolino (Middlebury, Conn./Pomperaug Regional) by one-tenth of a second.
O’Toole also touched first in the 100 backstroke (1:02.94) and swam to victory in the 200 freestyle (1:52.29).
The W&J men’s swimming team returns to the pool on Saturday when facing NCAA Division II West Virginia Wesleyan at the Henry Memorial Natatorium (1:00 pm).
