O’Toole Grabs Second PAC Swimmer Of The Week Award
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- For the second time this winter, Washington & Jefferson College senior Patrick O’Toole (Butler, Pa./Fox Chapel) has earned the Presidents’ Athletic Conference Men’s Swimmer of the Week award.
O’Toole highlighted the Presidents’ 166-95 victory at Hiram on Saturday with four victories (three individual, one relay). The win over the Terriers helped W&J up its season dual-meet record to 6-3.
O’Toole, who also collected the conference weekly award on Dec. 5, joins classmate and diver John Szott (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) as W&J student-athletes honored by the conference in the sport of swimming & diving this season.
Against Hiram, O’Toole swam the third leg on the winning 200-meter medley relay which finished in a time of 1:59.27. He also posted individual victories in the 50-meter (28.08) and 100-meter (1:02.65) butterfly events as well as the 100-meter IM (1:05.05).
During his career, O’Toole has helped the Presidents win 23 dual meets. W&J closes the dual-meet portion of its schedule on Saturday when hosting NCAA Division II Wheeling Jesuit at 1:00 pm on Senior Day at the Henry Memorial Natatorium.
