Presidents Complete Perfect 3-0 Weekend With Blowout Win

WASHINGTON, Pa. --  Washington & Jefferson College freshman Conor Crowe (King of Prussia, Pa./Upper Merion) netted four goals to lead the Presidents to a 17-8 men’s water polo victory over Salem International on Sunday at the Henry Memorial Natatorium.

Crowe added two assists for the Presidents, who improved to 6-7 overall.  W&J led 4-1 after one quarter and extended the advantage to 13-5 after three periods. 

Freshman Sam Taylor (Columbia, Md./Mount St. Joseph) added four points (three goals, one assist), while seven other Presidents also scored, including two-goal efforts from sophomore Nick Thorneloe (Collegeville, Pa./Perkiomen Valley) and freshman Ben Mancini (Oreland, Pa./Springfield Township). 

Freshman Justin Brier (Timonium, Md./Calvert Hall) also dished out three assists.  Sophomore goalie Dan Francisco (Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) had a team-high 10 saves. 

W&J has a week to prepare for the CWPA Division III Eastern Championships which will be hosted by Penn State-Behrend on Saturday.
