Presidents Cruise To Doubleheader Sweep of Hamilton In Florida
WINTER HAVEN, Fla. – The Washington & Jefferson College baseball team opened up RussMatt Tournament play with a doubleheader sweep of Hamilton (N.Y.) on Sunday. The Presidents (4-1) claimed game one 8-1 and took game two by a score of 11-4.

Senior shortstop Aaron Klinec (North Olmsted, Ohio/St. Ignatius) gave the Presidents an early 1-0 lead with an RBI double that knocked in junior center fielder Scott Brady (Allison Park, Pa./Hampton) during the first inning.
W&J extended its lead to eight runs with a seven-run third inning, as it sent 11 batters to the plate. Staniscia tacked on another run in the second with a single and then Schultz added two RBIs with a one-out base hit during the third inning. McLain capped the scoring with a two-run inside-the-park home run during the sixth inning.
