Presidents Defeated By Thiel In Three Sets
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College volleyball team fell to Thiel 3-0 on Thursday night at the Henry Memorial Center. Set scores for the match were 25-16, 25-22, 25-22.
The Presidents (6-8, 1-7 PAC) were led by junior Tori Clark's (Fall Branch, Tenn./Sullivan South) 15 digs and nine kills.
Freshman Nicole Bishwaty (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) aided the offense with 11 kills, while junior Samantha Chorney (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) supplied nine.
Defensively, freshman Courtney Grdina (Stow, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) led the way with 17 digs. Junior Megan Stoehr (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) contributed 12 digs and two blocks to go along with 21 assists.
The Presidents travel to Ohio for a non-conference match with Franciscan on Monday at 7:00 pm.
