Presidents Drop 3-0 Match to Westminster
WASHINGTON, Pa. – The Washington & Jefferson volleyball team dropped a 3-0 (19-25, 22-25, 17-25) match to Westminster Thursday night at the Henry Memorial Center in Presidents’ Athletic Conference action.
Westminster (14-3, 5-2 PAC) was led by senior Megan Romocean, who posted a 15-kill, 10-dig performance and also added five blocks. Classmate Lexi Starheim contributed nine kills and six blocks for the Titans.
W&J (7-3, 0-3 PAC) picked up six-kill efforts from senior Tori Clark (Fall Branch, Tenn./Sullivan South) and sophomore Nicole Bishwaty (Allentown, Pa./Parkland). Freshman Taylor Freeman (Cresson, Pa./Penn Cambria) compiled eight kills, which led the Presidents. Junior Darby McMullen (Columbus, Ohio/Worthington Killbourne) recorded four solo blocks on the night.
Washington & Jefferson makes the short trip to Waynesburg this Saturday for a tri-match against the Yellow Jackets and Bethany Bison at 11:00 am and 1:00 pm, respectively.
