Presidents Fall in Three in Kentucky

CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. – Sophomore setter Madison Rotto (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) had 15 assists, six digs and four blocks, but Washington and Jefferson was upended by Thomas More 3-0 (25-21, 25-18, 25-19) on Wednesday evening in PAC volleyball action at the Connor Convocation Center.

The Presidents’ record falls to 2-5 overall and 0-2 in the PAC.  The Saints evened their season record at 5-5 overall during their PAC opener.

Senior libero Tessa Slifka (Latrobe, Pa./Derry Area) added 10 digs and two kills, while sophomore outside hitter Tori Clark (Fall Branch, Tenn./Sullivan South) posted six kills and four digs.  Freshman middle hitter Lindsay Bennett (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brentwood) also contributed six blocks and three kills.

Washington and Jefferson aims to get back into the win column this weekend when traveling to New York for a trio of matches.  W&J plays Alfred and Hilbert at Alfred on Saturday before taking on D’Youville Sunday morning (11:00 am).
