Presidents Place Eighth At Southern Division Championships
PRINCETON, N.J. -- Notre Dame College posted a 12-8 victory over Washington & Jefferson Sunday morning in the seventh-place match at the Southern Division Men's Water Polo Championships hosted by Princeton University. W&J closes its season with a 7-12 record.
Junior Cameron Chaves (La Canada, Calif./La Canada) and freshman Carl Krause (Ambler, Pa./Wissahickon) led the Presidents with two-goal performances.
Senior Andy Rish (Erie, Pa./Cathedral Prep) scored one goal in his final collegiate match, while juniors Mike Johnson (Naperville, Ill./Naperville Central) and Joey Weiland (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) and freshman Mike Magdic (Allison Park, Pa./North Allegheny) all added one goal.
In the cage, sophomore Dan Francisco (Chicago, Ill./Fenwick) corralled nine saves.
