WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Westminster College swimming & diving teams swept a Presidents’ Athletic Conference dual meet from Washington & Jefferson College on Wednesday evening at the Henry Memorial Natatorium.

The Lady Titans nipped the Presidents (3-1, 1-1 PAC) by a 156-140 margin, while the WC men pulled away from W&J 183-101.  The Westminster women won the final relay (400 freestyle) to clinch the victory.

Sophomore Jessica Sweitzer (Laurel, Md./Seton Keough) and senior John Szott (Bethel Park, Pa./Bethel Park) led their respective squads.  Sweitzer was a part of three victories, including leading the 200 medley relay to an opening triumph in 1:54.98.  She also claimed the 100 (54.94) and 200 (1:58.63) freestyle events.  Szott swept the diving events with 233.40 points on 1-meter and 180.30 points at 3-meters.

Senior Jami Andrews (Greensburg, Pa./Hempfield), junior Zoe Levenson (Pittsburgh, Pa./Allderdice) and sophomore Charlotte Lima (Brooklyn, N.Y./Choate Rosemary Hall) joined Sweitzer on the winning relay before adding individual victories.  Andrews touched first in the 100 breaststroke (1:12.69), while Levenson won the 100 butterfly (1:01.58).  Lima was victorious in the 100 backstroke (1:02.87).

Sophomore Jennifer Suder (Cranberry Twp., Pa./Seneca Valley) was another double winner for the Presidents as she continued the impressive start to her diving career with wins on both the 1-meter (207.35) and 3-meter (208.75) boards.  Classmate Sara Boldt (Kentwood, Mich./East Kentwood) rounded out the first-place finishers with a victory in the 500 freestyle (5:27.58).

The only other first-place touch recorded by a W&J men’s swimmer was sophomore Ben McGrath (Palos Verdes Peninsula, Calif./Loyola), who notched the 100 freestyle (51.00).

Washington & Jefferson has a busy weekend ahead as it will compete in both the Carnegie Mellon Diving Invitational (Friday-Saturday) as well as a dual swimming meet at York (Pa.) on Saturday.
