Presidents Upend D'Youville in Three Sets
BUFFALO, N.Y. – Led by sophomore Madison Rotto’s (Freeport, Pa./Freeport) 28 assist, eight-dig effort, the Washington & Jefferson College volleyball team defeated host D’Youville 3-0 (25-10, 25-17, 25-21) on Sunday afternoon.
Sophomore Tori Clark (Fall Branch, Tenn./Sullivan South) also tallied eight digs, along with 14 kills for the Presidents (4-6). Freshman Lindsey Bennett (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brentwood) led the team with three blocks in addition to six kills and three digs.
Senior Alyssa Vukson (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) racked up 12 digs and one service ace to help W&J post a 2-1 record during its weekend trip to upstate New York. The Presidents defeated Hilbert 3-1 before falling to host Alfred 3-0 on Saturday.
W&J travels to Westminster on Wednesday for a tri-match with with La Roche (5:00 pm) and the host Titans (7:00 pm).
