Saint Vincent Claims Three-Set Victory Over W&J

WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College volleyball team dropped a 3-0 decision to Saint Vincent on Tuesday night at the Henry Memorial Center.

W&J's record fell to 10-13 (4-12 PAC) this fall, while Saint Vincent upped its mark to 11-14 (6-10). Set scores for the match were 22-25, 20-25, 18-25.

Junior Samantha Chorney (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) paced the Presidents offensively with 12 kills, while classmate Tori Clark (Fall Branch, Tenn./Sullivan South) added nine.

Freshman Nicole Bishwaty (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) collected a team-high seven digs along with seven kills, one service ace and one block. Clark and freshman Courtney Grdina (Stow, Ohio/Walsh Jesuit) both recorded six digs, while sophomore Lindsey Bennett (Pittsburgh, Pa./Brentwood) tallied five digs and a pair of blocks.

W&J hits the road for the final time this fall when it travels to Waynesburg for a 7:00 pm match on Thursday.
