Scott Ryan Nabs Second PAC Weekly Honor

WASHINGTON, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson junior cross country runner Scott Ryan (Williamsville, N.Y./Williamsville East) was awarded Presidents’ Athletic Conference Runner of the Week for the second time this season after his first-place finish at the Pitt-Greensburg Bobcat Invitational.

Ryan won the 85-runner, 8K race in a time of 26:56, 47 seconds ahead of the second-place runner.  It was the second individual victory of the season for Ryan, who also finished first at the Waynesburg Invitational on September 10th.

Ryan has won three races during his career at W&J, as he also won the Hood Invitational as a freshman.  This is the eighth PAC Runner of the Week award that he has earned.

The W&J cross country team will compete at the Carnegie Mellon Invitational on Saturday beginning at 10:30 am.
