Two W&J Women's Lacrosse Players Named to IWLCA Academic Honor Roll

WASHINGTON, Pa. – Washington & Jefferson College seniors Kerri Nunnamaker (Plymouth Meeting, Pa./Plymouth Whitemarsh) and Brittney Oake (Belle Mead, N.J./Montgomery) were named to the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III Academic Honor Roll on Tuesday.
A mathematics major, Nunnamaker collected 24 ground balls and caused 17 turnovers as part of a solid W&J defensive front this past spring. She has started all 49 games in her career and has scooped up 77 ground balls and caused 39 turnovers. Nunnamaker has also added seven goals and four assists.
Oake {left}, an international business and German major, led the Presidents with 54 goals in 2011. For her career, she has tallied 135 goals, along with 86 caused turnovers and 118 ground balls, while also starting all 49 games over the last three seasons.
The IWLCA Academic Honor Roll rewards student-athletes who have attained at least junior status academically and who have excelled in the classroom. A total of 219 student-athletes from 85 different institutions were honored.
