Volleyball Win Streak Snapped In Kentucky
CRESTVIEW HILLS, Ky. -- Jessica Knaley provided 16 kills and three blocks to help Thomas More earn a 3-1 (25-19, 25-23, 21-25, 25-21) Presidents' Athletic Conference volleyball victory over Washington & Jefferson on Sunday at the Connor Convocation Center.
The Saints (8-3, 3-1 PAC) also received 37 assists and 17 digs from Becca Kuhn.
W&J (7-2, 0-2 PAC), which saw its three-match winning streak come to an end, was led by senior outside hitter Tori Clark's (Fall Branch, Tenn./Sullivan South) 13 kills and three digs. Senior outside hitter Samantha Chorney (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) added 11 kills and five digs, while sophomore right-side hitter Nicole Bishwaty (Allentown, Pa./Parkland) posted 10 kills, 13 digs, three aces and three assists.
Freshman libero Allison Means (Connellsville, Pa./Connellsville Area) picked up 23 digs and freshman setter Michealia Skleres (Andover, Ohio/Pymatuning Valley) dished out a team-high 24 assists.
W&J returns home for the first time in 16 days for a Thursday night match with Westminster (7:00 pm).
