W&J-Allegheny Game Halted By Lightning
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson-Allegheny women's lacrosse match at Alexandre Stadium Wednesday night was stopped three minutes into the second half because of lightning.
The teams played to a 6-6 halftime tie and the game was stopped for 30 minutes due to lightning. Play resumed and the Gators took an 8-6 advantage, but another lightning delay was called at the 23:56 mark.
After 30 minutes, a decision to postpone the match was made. No schedule makeup date has been announced yet.
The Presidents are back in action in 10 days at Ohio Wesleyan (Apr. 20, 1:00 pm).
