W&J Volleyball Season Ends With 3-0 Loss In Greenville
GREENVILLE, Pa. – The 2011 Washington and Jefferson College volleyball season came to an end Saturday afternoon following a 3-0 PAC loss (25-12, 25-17, 25-13) to Thiel.
The Presidents end the year at 8-20 overall and 3-15 in the PAC. Seniors Alyssa Vukson (Pittsburgh, Pa./North Allegheny) and Tessa Slifka (Latrobe, Pa./Derry) led the defense with 16 and 13 digs, respectively.
Sophomore outside hitter Samantha Chorney (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) paced the Presidents’ offense with seven kills and six digs. Freshman Megan Stoehr (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mt. Lebanon) notched 18 assists and six digs.
