W&J Volleyball Snaps Five-Match Skid
PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Senior defensive specialist Tessa Slifka (Latrobe, Pa./Derry Area) totaled 22 digs and nine assists to lead Washington & Jefferson to a 3-1 (23-25, 25-16, 25-18, 25-22) PAC volleyball victory over Chatham on Wednesday night. The Presidents (8-16, 3-11 PAC) snapped a five-game losing streak.
Sophomore outside hitter Samantha Chorney (Greensburg, Pa./Greensburg Central Catholic) produced 10 kills and 12 digs, while classmate Rachel Wallace (Apollo, Pa./Kiski Area) added 11 kills and seven digs. Freshman setter Megan Stoehr (Pittsburgh, Pa./Mount Lebanon) dished out 28 assists and contributed nine digs.
W&J returns to action tomorrow night against Grove City at the Henry Memorial Center (7:00 pm).
