W&J Water Polo Coach Resigns To Pursue New Career
WASHINGTON, Pa. - Washington & Jefferson College Head Water Polo Coach Greg Jones announced his decision to leave the college on Friday to pursue a sales career in Cincinnati, Ohio.
“The students, faculty and staff have been tremendous and I can’t speak highly enough of them,” said Jones. “W&J is an excellent institution. I will truly miss all of the coaches and staff in the athletic department as well as the student-athletes who, day in and day out, give 110 percent in the pool and in the classroom.”
Jones took over the Presidents’ men’s and women’s water polo programs in December 2009 and guided the W&J teams to 35 victories.
“We wish Greg the best in his new career and thank him for the good work he did with our water polo programs,” said W&J Director of Athletics Bill Dukett. Dukett added that a search for the Presidents’ next head coach has already begun.
