W&J Women’s Tennis Season Ends On First Day Of PAC Championships

ERIE, Pa. -- The Washington & Jefferson College women’s tennis season came to an end on Friday at the 2011 Presidents’ Athletic Conference Championships at the Pennbriar Athletic Club.
W&J netters dropped their first-round matches in both singles and doubles flights.
Senior Carrie Campbell (Irwin, Pa./Penn-Trafford) and junior Danielle Ufolla (Pittsburgh, Pa./Perry) fell 8-3 in number two doubles action to Brittani Seemon and Tinuke Adetunji of Bethany. Senior Lina Echeverri (Myerstown, Pa./ELCO) and sophomore Kathryn Mioduszewski (Erie, Pa./Villa Maria Academy) were swept in their doubles contest in the number one bracket.
Campbell fell to Morgan Dolinar of Saint Vincent 6-0, 6-1 in her number three singles match, while Echeverri was downed 6-1, 6-0 by Westminster’s Alex Bailey in the number two flight.
Campbell finished the 2011 season with a team-high five singles victories, while also teaming with Ufolla for a team-best seven doubles wins. Campbell finished her career with 22 singles triumphs.
