Zach Bellhy Earns Second Team All-PAC Honors

WASHINGTON, Pa. – For the second consecutive season, Washington & Jefferson College senior guard Zach Bellhy (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) was named to the All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference Men’s Basketball Second Team.

Bellhy was the league’s second leading scorer at 18.6 points per game. He became the first player in school history to record back-to-back, 500-point seasons after tallying 503 points this winter, the most ever by a senior and third-highest, single-season total overall.

Bellhy concluded his 104-game career as the fourth-leading scorer in W&J history with 1,504 points. He also finished fourth in career three-pointers with 133, including 33 this winter.

Bellhy was the team’s top free throw shooter (fifth in PAC) at 79 percent and third-leading rebounder (5.0 rpg). He also grabbed 35 steals and dished out 47 assists.

Thomas More swept the individual awards as junior guard D’Carlo Hayes was named PAC Player of the Year and Head Coach Jeff Rogers earned the coach of the year accolades.

W&J concluded its season with a 9-18 record, including a 6-10 mark in conference play.
