Zach Bellhy Named To All-PAC Second Team
WASHINGTON, Pa. -- Washington & Jefferson College junior guard Zach Bellhy (McDonald, Pa./Fort Cherry) has earned Second Team All-Presidents’ Athletic Conference men’s basketball accolades.
Bellhy led the conference in scoring by averaging 19.2 points per game. His 500 points scored this winter were the third-highest total in school history. Bellhy set a career-high with 34 points against Thomas More on Jan. 28th, the second-highest scoring game of any player in the PAC this year.
He led the Presidents (9-18) in three-pointers (49), free throw percentage (.820), steals (30) and blocked shots (12). Bellhy also averaged 4.0 rebounds in just over 30 minutes of action per game.
Against Bethany in the PAC Tournament semifinals, Bellhy became the 15th player in W&J history to score 1,000 points. During his career, Bellhy has also accumulated 242 rebounds, 84 assists and 57 steals in 77 games. He is 469 points away from moving all of the way up to fourth place on the school’s all-time scoring list.
Nick Wilcox of Bethany was named PAC Player of the Year, while Thomas More’s Jeff Rogers earned Coach of the Year honors.
