The Campus Sustainability Committee was formed by President Tori Haring-Smith in 2008 to lead the College’s effort to reduce its greenhouse gas emissions to zero and the broader effort to become increasingly environmentally responsible, which is fundamental to the College’s mission of graduating men and women of uncommon integrity, competence, and maturity who are effective lifelong learners and responsible citizens, and who are prepared to contribute substantially to the world in which they live.
