Magellan Project Description:
I spent three weeks near Faridabad, India (near Delhi) working with a women empowerment program.  I spent several hours a day teaching young girls, whose families couldn’t afford to send them to school, English.  I also spent several days a week making jewelry with their mothers and teaching them English as well.

How will your Magellan help with your plans after graduation?
I am planning to pursue a graduate degree related to population growth and one of the proposed solutions to population growth is the empowerment of women.  I am hoping to use my experience in the field to enhance the solutions to existing problems.
