Philosophy & Physics
The Philosophy & Physics major emphasis explains the epistemological foundations of knowledge of the physical world, including the acquisition, evaluation, and limitations of that knowledge.
Experimental Physics
Experimental Physics major emphasis prepares students to independently design experiments to test physical models and communicate the results of experimentation in a variety of authentic forms in the discipline, including written articles, formal oral presentations, and informal dialogues.
Chemical Physics
Students majoring in Physics are eligible to declare a major emphasis in chemical physics. Students will learn to describe and apply the fundamental tools and knowledge of organic and inorganic chemistry and demonstrate core chemistry and physics laboratory and analysis skills.
