Beyond the Classroom

Outside of the classroom, your learning takes off as you accelerate experience and engagement, face challenges, find solutions, and develop resilience. Going beyond the classroom is a centerpiece of your experience at W&J College.

Blaze Your Own Path

The Magellan Project lets you blaze your own trail from the classroom to the world. Completed during the summer, the Magellan Project lets you pursue a passion, an interest, an internship, a study abroad opportunity, a research trip, or all of the above. You're out of the classroom, learning the ropes of whatever you've set your sights on. Your project could be right around the corner or right around the world.

Travel Beyond

Traveling abroad can be one of the most enriching and meaningful experiences. Learning in context and experiencing a new culture deepen your awareness and expand your insight. You have several options for study abroad. Explore a topic in its context during a JayTerm course. Apply for one of our 40 semester- or year-long study abroad programs. If you're an international student, come to W&J College for an opportunity to study in the United States.

Research & Internships

Travel isn't the only way to go beyond the classroom. Internships provide valuable experience and the chance to apply and enhance your learning in the classroom. We will help you find and fund these opportunities to get your hands-on work in your field and gain expertise.
