When is the Washington Fellows Weekend?
Washington Fellows Weekend is March 29-30, 2019.
How can I get to campus if I am flying into the Pittsburgh International Airport or arriving at the Amtrak train station?
The Office of Admission offers transportation to and from campus for students traveling on their own. Please contact us at least one week prior to the event at email@example.com or 724-223-6025.
When is Check-In?
For Friday arrivals, check in takes place from 4:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the Ballroom of the Rossin Campus Center. For Saturday arrivals, check in takes place from 8:15 to 9:00 a.m. in the lobby of The Commons. During registration, you will receive your information packet, including a final agenda, listing of campus activities, and additional information.
Do I have to arrive on Friday?
We prefer that you and your family arrive on Friday to have the full Fellows Weekend experience. If you are unable due to a conflict, you may check-in on Saturday morning.
Where will I spend the night on Friday and with whom?
Our Student Ambassadors will pair you with a student host. You will meet your host during dinner and will stay in his/her room on-campus. Meals will be provided. Parents who wish to spend the night in the area can make arrangements at nearby accommodations.
What should I bring?
Remember to bring a sleeping bag, pillow, towel, and other toiletries. You should also bring clothing appropriate to wear to the Washington Fellows Dinner on Friday evening. Suggested attire is business casual.
Attire for the Parent Reception and Fellows Dinner is business causal.
Will there be things to do on Friday night?
Yes! A list of all activities will be included in your registration packet when you arrive. Parents are invited to an evening reception with members of the campus community.
How do I select which Student Symposia I'd like to attend?
Symposia descriptions will be available in mid-March. You will receive an email requesting you to indicate your Symposia preferences.
Will I be able to tour the campus?
Tours will be offered on Saturday. Also, feel free to ask your host to take you around campus.
