Summary

Reporting to the Director of Belonging and Engagement, the Coordinator will join the Division of Student Life team and will develop and implement creative, innovative and engaging campus-wide programming opportunities, which meet the needs of a diverse campus community at Washington & Jefferson College. As a 4-year residential campus, this position will work with Greek Life and Student Organizations to offer a variety of campus-wide initiatives with a special focus on evening and weekend events. The coordinator will work to foster and support community by creating rich, co-curricular experiences outside of the classroom. This position will also assume generalist responsibilities within the area of the Office of Belonging & Engagement.

Duties and Responsibilities

Focus: Greek Life, Clubs, & Organizations

  • Advise Fraternity and Sorority Chapters at W&J College.
  • Create and implement Greek Life's student development, leadership trainings, chapter assistance, and recruitment.
  • Work with student organizations in an advising capacity to plan and create campus-wide programming and events, focused on fun, community building, and wellness.
  • Maintain regular communication with student organization executive boards.
  • Collaboratively oversee Belonging and Engagement student workers and interns.

Qualifications

  • The candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and decision-making skills
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, planning, and implementing events.
  • Candidates with 1-2 years of experience and a bachelor's degree will be considered.
