This four-credit course focuses on preparing teachers to develop diagnostically inclusive teaching skills through the use of educational technology and other methodologies to expand the curriculum to better meet the learner’s competencies, needs, interests, and abilities. Emphasis is on researching, recognizing, and effectively responding to students’ strengths and weaknesses through the use of research and educational technology.

A weekly internship at a local school working with students who may be mildly or moderately handicapped and/ or have moderate or high incidence disabilities is required for students with all clearances seeking certification.
