Free will is a subject of endless fascination and debate. What is it or would it be? Do we really have it? Is its existence or would its existence be compatible with a scientific understanding of the brain and human mind? What would be the effect if we ceased to believe that we have it? This course will explore these and other questions through the writings some of the most influential figures in recent debates about the subject.
