We understand that knowing which financial aid forms to complete can be confusing. To make this easier for families, we are providing you with a complete list of forms that you might need throughout the academic year. Simply download which form(s) you feel you may need to receive the appropriate financial aid offer. Our Office of Financial Aid is available to answers any questions you may have about the forms. We can be reached at: 724-223-6019, Monday-Friday 9 AM-5 PM/EST.

The Bottom Line

The Bottom Line Form will help you compare costs and aid awards between W&J and three other schools. See your official financial aid award letter(s) for cost listings and award breakdowns and amounts.

Cost of Attendance Adjustment Form

Use the Cost of Attendance Adjustment Form to request an increase in your budget to allow you to borrow to cover additional educational expenses.

Summer Aid Request Form

Use the Summer Aid Request to request financial aid for summer classes. Additional institutional aid is not available for summer courses; however, you may be eligible for PA State Grant, Pell Grant, federal Direct student loans, or you may apply for a private loan. Your parent may also apply for a federal PLUS loan as long as you are enrolled at least half-time. If you wish to use federal aid during the summer term (Pell grant, PLUS or federal Direct student loan), your financial aid must be processed before the last day of classes of the summer term.

Financial Aid Verification Worksheet

If your FAFSA was selected for review through a process called verification, please complete our Financial Aid Verification Worksheet in its entirety and sign where indicated. Return this form to the Office of Financial Aid at Washington & Jefferson College. A financial aid representative will review the information and make any necessary corrections to your FAFSA.

If you have any questions, please contact the Office of Financial Aid at 724-223-6019 or finaid@washjeff.edu.

PLUS Pre-Application

Students must now complete a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) in order for a parent to apply for a PLUS loan. A biological parent who wishes to borrow a PLUS Loan and is not the parent listed on the FAFSA must complete the PLUS Pre-Application Form in order for an aid representative to verify his/her relationship to the student. In addition, a Direct PLUS Loan Request and MPN must be completed on www.studentaid.gov by the borrower.

GRE Fee Reduction Certificate

If you will be taking the GRE, contact Jeff DeRubbo, Director of Financial Aid, at jderubbo2@washjeff.edu to see if you are eligible for a fee reduction.
