Club & Intramural Sports

The Club & Intramural Sports program at Washington & Jefferson College is proud to provide students, faculty, and staff with the opportunity to compete in a variety of competitive leagues, tournaments, and special events throughout the school year.

W&J offers 10 club teams and organizations that are open to all current W&J students. A number of club teams compete in various leagues and take part in competitions in the tri-state area, while others are purely recreational. Club sports are similar to varsity sports in that they often hold structured practices, maintain consistent rosters, and compete on a regular basis; however, club teams are primarily student-run and do not require the time commitment of most varsity teams. Club teams and organizations are designed to provide fun and engaging opportunities for students to become athletically involved in the W&J campus community.

Separate from men’s and women’s varsity athletic teams, and from club teams and organizations, W&J offers a robust Intramural Sports program for students of all skill levels who are interested in competing. This forum promotes health and wellness, social interaction, and teamwork.
