Grove City College senior Cody Gustafson and recent Washington & Jefferson College graduate Parker Laughlin earned 2020-21 Academic All-America® men’s track and field/cross country recognition Tuesday, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA).
Recent Washington & Jefferson College graduate Ben Peticca capped his collegiate career in style Wednesday when he was named a 2020-21 Academic All-America® Division III At-Large honoree, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. CoSIDA annually recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
The American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) recently announced the 2020-21 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award honorees. The Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) was represented by the programs at Franciscan University (head coach Rick Carver), Thiel College (head coach Joe Schaly) and Washington & Jefferson College (head coach Jeff Mountain).
A combined 12 Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) men’s and women’s track and field programs were recently honored by the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA) for outstanding success in the classroom.
Three Presidents’ Athletic Conference (PAC) programs, along with 11 student-athletes representing four league schools, were recognized by the Intercollegiate Women’s Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA) Tuesday afternoon for their work in the classroom.
The Pittsburgh Pirates, Pirates Charities, PNC and The Grable Foundation teamed up with the Allegheny Intermediate Unit, Intermediate Unit One, and Kidsburgh to recognize outstanding teachers in our region and give them the thanks and acknowledgement that they deserve for their contributions to our community.
Washington & Jefferson College graduate Alie Seto was honored with the Cooper Award, given annually to the top senior male and female athletes.
