Adjunct Professor of Double and Electric Bass
Eli Naragon is a bassist and educator from Pittsburgh, PA and a graduate of Oberlin Conservatory Class of 2018, where he studied with Peter Dominguez, Jay Ashby, Gary Bartz, Sullivan Fortner, Jamey Haddad, Dan Wall, Paul Samuels, Tracy Rowell, Scott Dixon, Eddie Henderson, and Billy Hart. Through Oberlin, Eli traveled to Rio de Janeiro to study various Brazilian musical styles with top local recording artists. In addition to playing with his longtime mentor, Dr. Roger Humphries, Eli has shared the stage with Rufus Reid, Poogie Bell, Robert Hurst, Tony Campbell, Jay Ashby, John Shannon, and Richie Cole. Eli can be heard on recordings with Tony Campbell, Daryl Shaw, Clint Bleil, and Hugo Cruz. As well as being a performing artist, Eli is also a bass and general music instructor at Center of Life, a local non-profit in Pittsburgh PA.
