Two educators from within Mars Area School District will take up new leadership roles in district schools in the coming school year. Dale Sleva Jr. will serve as principal at Mars Area Primary Center, and Jessica Semler will fill Sleva’s previous role as assistant principal at Mars Area High School.

Morgan Brozena ’16 named head coach of the Kenyon field hockey program

Jill McCartney, Kenyon’s Director of Athletics, Fitness and Recreation, announced today the hiring of Morgan Brozena as the head coach of the Ladies field hockey program. Brozena is the 13th head coach in the Ladies’ 49-year history and she succeeds Jacque Demarco, who departed after nine seasons and a combined 111-47 record.

Recent Washington & Jefferson College graduate Ben Peticca capped his collegiate career in style Wednesday when he was named a 2020-21 Academic All-America® Division III At-Large honoree, as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America. CoSIDA annually recognizes the nation’s top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
